Attorney General's Office Center building called Thought on Reconciliation

In order to promote the creation of a think tank dedicated to promoting a culture of administrative conciliation was met an interagency meeting convened by the Attorney General's Office which was attended by Justice Minister Juan Carlos Esguerra Portocarrero; the general national viceprocuradora, Martha Isabel Castañeda Curvelo, the prosecutor for the Settlement, Roberto Augusto Valdez Serrato and representatives of the Comptroller General's Office, the Ministry of Education and the School of Public Administration (ESAP).
 
For the prosecution, the use of alternative mechanisms for conflict resolution, especially that of conciliation, should play a leading role with opportunity to resolve the conflicts among individuals and the state, thereby helping to mitigate the impact caused by congestion on the public finances in judicial matters.

In his presentation, the general national viceprocuradora noted that the high volume of claims against public entities that clogs the Jurisdiction of Administrative and affects the right of users to receive a prompt response to their claims and the high number processes that present in other jurisdictions as civil, labor and family, encourage the creation of a think tank that is dedicated to promoting the culture of reconciliation.

Thought Center in Conciliation shall aim at monitoring, observation, analysis and proposals to feed steadily promoting a true culture of conciliation to overcome gradually the litigation that characterizes the practice of law in our country.

The initiative has the support of Project FolrtalEsDer of German Development Cooperation GIZ.
