Attorney General's Office, Alejandro Ordóñez Maldonado, receives award Friday as "Person of the Year" award from the Magdalena Journal Today

After a vote among more than 2,700 Colombians who live in the Colombian Caribbean region and represent important social sectors, civic and business consultation organized and led by Magdalena Journal Today, Attorney General's Office, Alejandro Ordóñez Maldonado, receive this Friday January 27 in Santa Marta, Magdalena, the highest award for "Person of the Year 2011."


For 23 years this means of written communication consultation at the end of each annual period of Colombians opinion on people whose work, perseverance, leadership, commitment, dedication to service and example from their different disciplines contribute to the progress and development of region, country and the welfare of society.

Thus in 2011 the highest vote was Mr. Attorney General's Office, Alejandro Ordóñez Maldonado, followed by the Comptroller General of the Republic, Sandra Morelli Rico, and, thirdly, the minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade, Sergio Díaz Granados Guida.

In his speech, the head of the Public Ministry will present the project "New Citizen Colombia: toward public ethics", work led by the Attorney General and the Institute for the Study of Public Prosecutions and that tends to create awareness among the society to generate honest, fair and transparent, characteristics of the entity's strategic plan "Order and Righteousness."
