Attorney General's Office cited verbal hearing closing arguments Alderman of Bethany (Antioquia)

The public hearing closing arguments in the verbal process being conducted by the Attorney General's Office against Mr. Gustavo Alberto Velez Sanchez, will meet on Thursday, February 9 at 10:00 a. m. at the headquarters of the Provincial Attorney Andes.

The Public Ministry is investigating the alleged raid on Mr. Velez Sanchez's inability to sign up, aim and take office as municipal councilor of Bethany (Antioquia) for the period 2008-2011 and currently exercise the said office.

The material evidence showed that by judgment of 18 December 1990 the Criminal Circuit Court of Andes, the discipline was sentenced to 32 months home detention after being found criminally responsible for the crime of sexual intercourse with the worsening violent punitive of paragraph 1 of Article 306, and as punishment he was sentenced to the ban on the exercise of public office for a period equal to the principal penalty.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, the relapsed involved in that conduct to register again as a candidate and get elected as a councilor of that municipality for the period 2012-2015.

Body Control considers that the sentence imposed on him by now investigated whether the duration set an inability to access the position.

The failure was attributed to disciplined provisionally qualified as very serious by way of fraud committed.
