Attorney General's Office confirmed to former mayor and former secretary dismissal Planning Charta (Santander)

The Attorney General's Office confirmed the penalty of dismissal and disability for a period of ten years handed down against Mr. Paul Mendes Sanabria and Carlos Chaparro Finch, in his capacity as mayor and secretary of Planning, respectively, the municipality of Charta, Santander, for the time of the events, for irregularities in recruitment.

Investigated the facts relating to the contract signed on supply July 19, 2007 for the supply of materials for different paths aqueducts Township Charta, which generated an economic overhead.

In resolving the appeal, the Regional Office Santander considered that in his capacity as mayor, Mr. Mendez Sanabria failed in its duty of supervision and control over the planning and conduct of the contract to be investigated with the patrimonial detriment caused.

For its part, concluded that in the case of former Secretary of Planning, the disciplinary offense was configured to ignore the principles of economy and accountability, in his capacity as delegate for the recruitment of the municipality, which checked out the interests and assets of the territorial entity.

Failure was classified as very serious fault committed by way of very grave.
