Attorney General's Office dismisses former governor of Caldas

- The disciplinary decision was announced at a public hearing held today in the office of the Attorney General for Public Morality.


The Attorney General's Office dismissed and disqualified for 10 years Mr. Mario Aristizabal Munoz, in his capacity as Governor of the Department of Caldas, not declared disqualified from participating EDSA board on January 16, 2009 in which resolved favorably to the request raised by the firm Susuerte SA concerning the modification of the contract in December 2006 for the gambling operation while standing or validity in 2007-2011, although cause for disqualification was set derived from the relationship the former governor had with the natural or legal persons belonged to any title company SUSUERTE S. A.

 

Within the disciplinary determination was suspended and disqualified for 12 months Adolfo Leon Mejia Grand, in his capacity as manager of the Company Caldas Department of Health (EDSA LTDA). Faced with the responsibility of Mr. Adolfo Leon Mejia Grand, in his capacity as manager of EDSA LTDA, the Office concluded that exceeded its functions to allow Mr. Pablo Uribe Salazar, representing Fasecolda Joves and Maria del Pilar Ramirez, behalf of the governor of Caldas, on as a member of the Company's board of Health Department of Caldas - EDSA, without there being an act of necessary appointment.

 

Finally, the attorney disciplinary absolved of all responsibility to the then governor's private secretary, Maria del Pilar Ramirez Joves after concluding that the officer went to the board in a precise and immediate verbal instruction of the then governor, and therefore which was subsequently endorsed by the manager of EDSA as technical secretary of the board and therefore was not aware of the absence of the corresponding instrument of delegation.
