Attorney General's Office filed charges to managers CAJANAL

To respond to possible double payments to beneficiaries, the Attorney General's Office made two objections to exgerentes Cajanal, Augusto Moreno Julia Barriga and Gladys Rodriguez D'German, the current manager liquidator, Jairo de Jesus Cortez Arias, and Payroll Coordinator Judy Child Elizabeth Rodriguez.

The Second Attorney's Office for Administrative Supervision considered the investigation apparently did not comply with diligence and efficiency mandated service, since it failed to implement effective control procedures within the entity to avoid double payment situations presented to the same person for the same benefit.

The Attorney General found that in the case of Mr. Augusto Moreno Barriga, general manager during the period from November 7, 2006 and May 20, 2009, did not implement controls to prevent double payment of pensions to six beneficiaries.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Gladys Rodriguez Julia D'German, general manager responsible for CAJANAL during the period between 27 May and 15 June 2009, and liquidator of the same institution between June 16 and 9 December 2009, did not implement controls to prevent double payment of pensions to six other recipients.

For the current manager of CAJANAL liquidator Jairo Arias Cortes said he had an obligation to implement control mechanisms that will guarantee the processed, recognition and payment of pension obligations properly, especially when he was aware, from taking office , problems of double payments of allowances to pensioners.
 
Finally, in the case of Mrs. Judy Child Elizabeth Rodriguez, who fulfilled roles including public and Payroll Coordinator CAJANAL possibly disregarded the instructions or guidelines issued, allowing it to generate double economic benefit payments to retirees and / or recipients of thereof.
