Attorney General's Office opened a disciplinary investigation into the CAR director of Cundinamarca

The Attorney General's Office ordered the opening of a disciplinary investigation into the server Edgar Alfonso Bejarano Mendez, president of the Regional Autonomous Corporation of Cundinamarca (CAR), for alleged responsibility for the causes and effects of the rainy season from 2010 to 2011.

The Division for Environmental and Agricultural Affairs, an agency that acts as a "Special Officer Discipline" ordered the investigation against Mr. Bejarano Mendez practiced after the preliminary inquiry, which in turn will forward to the dissatisfaction of various sectors of society, unions , rural population and the general public in relation to the role of CAR in risk management, promotion and execution of works for the regulation of channels and streams, and land reclamation for the defense, protection and proper management of watersheds and the activities of analysis, monitoring, disaster prevention and control in their jurisdiction.

With respect to the responsibility of local leaders of the upper basin of Bogotá, derived from the floods of the rounds and licensure of planning and / or construction on them, risk management and compliance of land, he set forward the relevant copies to the relevant provincial prosecutors so that they have the respective disciplinary investigations against the mayors of Villapinzón, Choconta Sesquilé, Cajicá, Sopo, Mosquera, Chia and Cota (Cundinamarca).
