Attorney General's Office promoted and established the Regional Commission for the moralization of the department of Magdalena

The Attorney General's Office, through the Regional Department of Magdalena, promoted and made part of Tuesday January 31 the installation of the Regional Commission for the moralization, which also comprise the representatives of the Comptroller General of the Republic, the Attorney General's Office and the Ombudsman.

This is in compliance with the request of the Presidential Program for Modernization, Efficiency, Transparency and Combating Corruption of the Presidency of the Republic through communication December 19, 2011.

This commission was created in accordance with Article 65 of Law 1474 of 2011 (New Anti-Corruption Statute), which introduced measures and reforms to the legal procedures of a criminal, fiscal discipline and government procurement, seeking joint actions and mechanisms in the fight against the scourge of corruption.

Attorney, Comptroller, Attorney General and Ombudsman will work together in Magdalena to make timely and effective receiving and responding to complaints and denunciations by citizens in this area.

Was established the requirement that the entities, through the committee, to conduct a monthly meeting. Quarterly include the spokespersons of citizen oversight in order to provide training on the functions of the Regional Commission of moralizing and that fall within each particular control body.
