Attorney General's Office will participate in Departmental Social Policy Council of Antioch

The Attorney General's Office, through the Officer for the Defense of the Rights of the Child, Youth and Family will attend the next meeting of the Council for Social Policy Department of Antioquia, an event that will take place tomorrow, Wednesday February 22 at the premises of the Interior, called by the departmental representative, Sergio Fajardo Valderrama.

The Social Policy Department Councils are scenes of intersectoral coordination at the confluence of civil society, NGOs, private organizations, public sector and control bodies to design and develop strategies to improve the quality of life of children, adolescents, youth, women, families, seniors, people with disabilities, and generally of all communities.

Law 1098, 2006, in addition to public policy makers for children and adolescents to the president, governors and mayors, provides that there must be a public policy priority differential childhood and adolescence, which provides the link between the municipal councils , assemblies and Congress to ensure the allocation of resources to the implementation of these policies.

The Attorney General's Office, Alejandro Ordóñez Maldonado, urges provincial and local leaders to convene councils for Social Policy and adopt policies consistent and fully in accordance with the guidelines of national order and the realities of their territories. Also remember the importance of promoting participatory planning processes and seek to integrate the various social sectors in their regions.
