Attorney asks the Supreme Court action for review of judgment against to 340 months in prison for involvement in citizen terrorist act

The Attorney General's Office filed the Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court action for review of judgments of first instance and by which convicted Mr. Adolfo Gutierrez Malaver as coauthor of the terrorist attack of April 22, 2002 against the facilities of the Metropolitan Police of Bogota SIJIN-MEBOG, and would therefore pay a penalty of 340 months in prison for a crime he did not commit, since it was established, by confession of interrogated who did participate in the fact that the citizen Malaver Gutierrez had no part in the execution of terrorist act.

The Attorney General intervened under the provisions of section 222 of Act 600 of 2000, which speaks of indirect defamation against the court ruling handed down by the Fourth Court Special Criminal Circuit of Bogota, and the appeal by the High Court of Pasto, Nariño, by which the accused were convicted as co-author of the terrorist attack perpetrated by the FARC, killing a policeman and a civilian, 39 wounded people, of which 28 were police.

This determination of the Attorney was available for having made a free version of a postulate of Justice and Peace, who confessed his involvement in this incident and stated that the case involved, Gutierrez Malaver, had no involvement in the attack.

In this scenario, that of the free versions of the postulates, and in compliance with the commitments made by the demobilized, situations arise like this, where not only give insights into the authors and accomplices in crimes by armed but also the acquittal of those who allegedly have been identified as in this case. Therefore, the Attorney involved for potential innocent are acquitted, as the guarantor of rights and assuming a decisive role by going to the legal mechanisms in pursuit of the proper administration of justice.
