Attorney receives delegation of the Committee Asturian assistance to victims of violations of Human Rights in Colombia

Officials from the Attorney General's Office attended the visit of the Delegation Asturian check the status of human rights in the country for exchange of information, progress and recommendations to improve policy and projects on these rights.

At the meeting, the general national viceprocuradora, Martha Isabel Castañeda Curvelo, introduced the members of the committee structure of the entity's control and how does the Attorney General from orbit prevention, intervention and discipline in defense of Human Rights , especially with the track state policies and if necessary, disciplinary proceedings to the officials for their acts or omissions contribute to the violation of legal or human rights of the inhabitants of the country.

Members of the commission, in eighth opportunity to visit the country, expressed their concerns to the attorney in situations found in his tour of Chocó, Arauca and Cesar, which were known directly by the viceprocuradora, Attorney Delegate for the Public Prosecutor in Criminal Matters and Attorney disciplinary Officer for Human Rights and Ethnic Affairs.

Meanwhile, representatives of the Attorney General's Office, socialized members of the committee action taken to defend the victims of displacement by the conflict, emphasizing those taken to monitor the process of implementation of the Law 1448 and the intervention of the Attorney General to ensure the rights of the population during the emergency humanitarian and socio-economic restoration.
