Attorney warns of compliance for use of the figure of exceptional future years in the department of Chocó

In carrying out its preventive role, the Attorney General's Office called on the authorities of Choco department to ensure that the management of public resources and the use of the figure of the future years to adjust to the dynamics and characteristics of each municipality.

Through the Attorney General's circular warns the governor, congressmen, mayors and councilors of the said department may use the figure of future years provided exceptional in their respective budgets already laid.

At present Article 11 of Law 819 of 2003 regulates the exceptional future years. For use, the Office notes must be checked and run out 10 steps by the authorities, beginning with verification of the Organic Statute of the respective Budget territorial entity in order to determine whether the figure is provided, otherwise may not make use of them.

In fulfilling its responsibilities, the Regional Office of Choco asked local authorities in the area of ​​the country that took the shape of the future years exceptional review in these processes has not complied with the 10 requirements.

In this regard the Control Authority said that if not taken into account these requirements, "the head of the territorial entity with the secretary of Planning and Public Works shall submit a detailed report on the situation presented irregular, with all the accompanying media ".

The Regional Office of Choco evaluated the information submitted by local authorities "to determine whether or not the alleged irregularities detected by the current administration are unfounded or not, and then determine the observations that may be required as well as criminal investigations, prosecutors and disciplinary action, which will be certified to the respective copies to the competent authorities.
