Confirm the provisional suspension of the mayor of Santana (Boyacá)

The Attorney General's Office confirmed the provisional suspension measure ordered against Mr. Henry Forero Armando Sanchez, now mayor of the municipality of Santana (Boyacá).

The Regional Office Santander, to solve the query of the decision that ordered the provisional measure, considered to comply with the formal and substantial requirements applicable to the suspension in his tenure.

The president is being investigated for having possession being in force in office against a ground of disability.

The prosecution, through the Provincial Attorney Velez summoned Mr. Sanchez Forero a public hearing so that appropriate explanations and provide evidence to back up its defense.

The investigation was triggered by news that Mr. Sanchez Forero recorded special permanent disability as a result of the sentence handed down against him by the Thirty-Three Court Criminal Circuit of Bogota for the crime of fraud.
