Former Secretary of Government of Santa Barbara (Antioquia) is summoned to court by the Attorney General's Office

Through verbal process, the Office investigates Upegui William Antonio Quintana, in his capacity as former Secretary of Government of Santa Barbara (Antioquia), the possible omission of surveillance and control necessary for the effective performance of a contract between an individual and the municipality mentioned, to comply with their duties under the subscription agreement between the Antioch Housing Corporation (VIVA) and the municipality in order to legalize about 800 properties located in urban areas.

The disciplinary diligence be held on February 10, 2012 from 9:00 in the morning in the premises of the Provincial Prosecutor of Fredonia (Antioquia), located in Building Coffee, second floor.

The Provincial Office of Fredonia seeks to determine if the default set of functions and duties of Mr. Quintana Upegui to act as auditor of the contract between the City of Santa Barbara and an individual, valued at $ 400,030,000, which is developing several people hired without meeting the legal requirements, generating non-payment of seven contractors for work done for three months.

Consider that the Control Authority involved was required to promptly forward the steps taken to ensure the proper development of the contract and prevent the commission of irregularities, the expense and asset impairment of the rights of the community and public assets.

The Attorney provisionally classified the offense committed by the former official title as a very serious intent.
