IEMP, National University and Lincoln Institute of Land Policy for Latin America held symposium on recovery and urban development

 

The Institute for the Study of Public Prosecutions (IEMP), in partnership with the Institute of Urban Studies at the National University (UIS) and the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy (lilp) for Latin America, held between 17 and 18 April Symposium "Technical and recovery models of contribution."

The event aims to determine and analyze experiences nationally and internationally regarding the contribution to improvement of cities and their effect on urban development and public works as roads, transportation and utilities, among others.

The conference is invited Attorney General's Office, Alejandro Ordóñez Maldonado, Martin Smolka, lilp director for Latin America, Maria Mercedes Maldonado, Secretary of Planning of Bogota, Christian Mora Jose Padilla, director of the IEMP, and experts in the field from our country, Mexico, Ecuador, Brazil and the United States.

The academic agenda includes topics such as "Experiences in Latin America to capture gains caused by public works", "The receipt of the valuation for the general benefit", "Application of econometric and geostatistical models to the collection of recovery" and the presentation of the study in this regard by the Institute for the Study of Public Prosecutions.

One goal of the symposium is to raise the updating of legislation in relation to recovery. In 2011, Colombia completed 90 years of Law 25 that allowed collect the assessment for improvement or recovery for urban development.
