In lower court ruling, Attorney General's Office dismissed and disqualified for 10 years to former Secretary of Government of Isnos (Huila)

The Attorney General's Office, through its Provincial Garzon (Huila), in judgment of first instance dismissed and disqualified for a period of ten (10) years Mr. Omar Penagos Cortes, in his capacity as Secretary of Government and Managing Director functions in the Treasury area of the municipality of Isnos (Huila), at the time of the facts, falsifying a public document.

According to research, between 2006 and 2007, Mr. Penagos Cortes continuously conducted a series of fictitious contracts through awards for services to people who never had a contractual relationship with the municipality of Isnos.

Failure was classified as very serious, committed by way of fraud, it was found that the disciplined acted with full knowledge of committing a criminal typical description and with intent to consummate, unmitigated responsibility.

The first instance decision of the Provincial Attorney Garzon (Huila) was firm and duly executed as neither disciplined nor his attorney filed an appeal to it.
