By ruling on appeal, the Attorney General's Office confirmed the suspension for 2 months of tenure made against Mr. Jairo Muñoz Hoyos, in his capacity as president of the University of Nariño.

Within the same determination was further confirmed disciplinary suspension for four months Villota Mr. Juan Andres Ramos, who at the material time he served as administrative vice chancellor of the University of Nariño.

Mr. Jairo Muñoz disciplinary offense committed by another resolution naming issued on September 3, 2007 Mr. Villota Ramos as Director of Legal Offices, a position that requires, among other specific requirements, two years of experience in teaching, that the appointee did not meet .

The second disciplinary offense to Mr. Jairo Muñoz confirmed is related to the certification issued it, where it found that the appointee was a teacher of humanistic education in human rights, with 6 hours per week in semester A and B of 2005 and the A semester of 2006, which is an irregularity in that the power to issue such certificates was at the top of the head of the Human Resources Division.

Additionally, it was established that certification does not match the reality of the work performed as a teacher by Juan Andres Villota, "nor was the result of confrontation or check with the officials of the Office of Human Talent," the decision second instance.

Finally, prosecutors found Mr. Villota disciplinary Ramos responsible for accepting the appointment and possession as director of Legal Offices of the University of Nariño, despite having full knowledge that did not meet the requirements for the position.

With regard to the sanction imposed, the Control Authority said that if those affected are not currently linked to university entity, the penalty will become fine according to the salary paid to the date of occurrence was failure.
