In strong current penalty imposed on Councillor Chigorodó (Antioquia) on court ruling

Through verbal process in court ruling, the Attorney General's Office suspended for six months Varelas Jesus Maria Garcia, the current council of the municipality of Chigorodó (Antioquia) for violating the rules of disabilities and incompatibilities.

During the investigation, the Attorney Provincial de Apartado (Antioquia) was established that Mr. Varelas Garcia was an employment relationship with the company providing subsidized Health (EMDISALUD ESS) under an employment contract for an indefinite term from January 1, 2008 and simultaneously as a councilman since 2004, a situation that lasted until September 23, 2011.

The Control Authority described the lack of disciplined and committed with serious negligence.

The first instance decision was notified in Court enforceable because parties to the proceedings not appealed against it.
