Institute for the Study of Public Prosecutions research advances sexual abuse in Colombia

Using the experience and results in management in the field, the Institute for the Study of Public Prosecutions (IEMP) of the Attorney General's Office, through its Division of Research, is preparing the first volume of a series of inquiries sexual abuse in the country.

The text will be published next May by the Criminal Adversarial System Observatory (OSPA) and the Centre of Adolescent Criminal Responsibility System (OSRPA), which promote the preventive learning between public servants and citizens in general.

This first publication analyze the risk factors that can lead a person to commit this crime and geographical statistics reveal advanced in working with the centers for victims of sexual abuse in the country.

The goal of this research is to present a user-friendly text and simple understanding, which serves as support for the work of training and prevention of sexual abuse and support the justice sector in the context of this problem.
