Office is in favor of the event of death of a child in the Magdalena River in the practice of high-risk game

The Attorney General's Office mourns death of eight year old boy who drowned in the River Magdalena when competing with their friends in the game called "challenge" and that, according to authorities, could not get rid of a brick that other children previously had bound feet.

The Attorney General's Office, Alejandro Ordóñez Maldonado, strong calls to parents, caregivers and society in general in order to assume with responsibility the task of protecting children, and warn against any conduct that threatens his life or personal integrity.

Games involving hazardous or high risk for them must be avoided, every adult, neighbor or friend to observe their practice, must intervene to prevent its occurrence. For his young age, children fail to perceive the danger and consequences of their behavior, the parents and close relatives are called to teach, educate, care for, protect and prevent any behavior likely to cause harm.
