PRESS RELEASE (9 April)

Today, in commemorating the Day of Remembrance and Solidarity with Victims, Attorney General's Office, Alejandro Ordóñez Maldonado, expresses its support and assistance to all those who have suffered the tragedy of armed conflict in the country.

The Chief Public Prosecutor urges the authorities at national, departmental and municipal level to strengthen the work that is underway in a joint defense of the interests of victims, in the process of restitution and urgent attention to social problems, economic, familial and emotional acts of violence have resulted in much of the Colombian population.

In furtherance of its constitutional functions and Colombia in search of a historical memory, permanent support for the most vulnerable and constant development of public policies that enhance the lives of citizens, the Attorney General's Office will continue working for the conflict victims and their families.
