A purpose of the information disseminated by some media regarding the Attorney General's Office, Alejandro Ordóñez Maldonado, would regulate the use of social network Twitter or other social networks by public servants through a circular or another document, the chief prosecutors need to note that this is not true because it is respectful of freedom of expression guaranteed by Article 20 of the Constitution of Colombia.

What is certain is that the Attorney General's Office said on this subject, on a single occasion, the March 15, 2012, that: "It is clear that public officials have a functional framework within which they must exercise their powers and the Office is vigilant so that they are suited to this context, "adding that" administrative decisions have some formalities to be respected and observed."
