Revoked tender for upgrading and paving of the road that leads to the airport Condoto in the department of Chocó

Following the observations made by the Attorney General's Office, City Hall Municipal Condoto (Chocó) reversed the open bidding process for the improvement and paving of the road Condoto-airport by a value in excess of 3 billion pesos.

In a communication sent to the Attorney General, the president of Condoto, Johnilin Borja Moreno, referred to the observations and recommendations compared to previous studies and tender documents, among other things, and announced it will start again the process with all adjustments made to the tender documents.

The Attorney commented on the lack of activities, units and quantities of work to be executed, the technical specifications of each of the activities and the need to justify the selection factors to identify the best deal.

On the other hand, the prosecution referred to the need to include in the contract documents required by law aspects as detailed and complete technical description of the object to contract and the general technical specifications.

It also indicated on the warranty, the need to specify the handling of the advance and the rating system of the proposal and on compulsory technical inspection, among others.

The monitoring body said that comprehensive preventive action in state contracting "can not imply in any way the co-administration, interference, endorsement, rejection or qualification of the conduct of public servants of the supervised institutions," it is a accompanying work aims for transparency in government procurement.
