The Attorney General's Office will monitor the second day of democracy in which elected the Mayor of Cáceres (Antioquia)

• The Control Authority seeks to ensure the transparency of the election of the president of the municipality of Cáceres.

The Attorney General's Office was present at the first Departmental Electoral Committee which was fulfilled in the Government Department of Antioquia, with the aim of establishing guidelines for conducting the elections that for the second time, will meet March 11 2012 in the town of Caceres.

The Regional Prosecutor and provincial Yarumal Antioquia were emphatic in stating that continue providing guidance and policies on prevention election, seeking to be fair and transparent elections, adjusted to the constitutional and legal guarantees. Also, required to advance an adequate selection of jurors voting to verify the suitability and experience.

During the meeting they also attended by representatives of the Government department, the Comptroller General of Antioquia, National Police, Army, Election Observation Mission and the various political parties and movements, among others, were socialized the dates specified in the schedule for electoral registration of candidates, registered candidates publishing, list of jurors, places and polling stations.

It should be remembered that new elections be brought forward to the inability of Mr. Benito Antonio Pacheco in July to take office as Mayor of Cáceres (Antioquia), after being elected in the last elections of October 30, 2011, due to the decision of the Attorney General's Office to dismiss and disqualify for a period of 11 years for engaging in contractual irregularities.
