With the Attorney General's Office conciliation agreements were reached for 138 affected by the accident on the morning of December 23, 2011 generated by the explosion of the pipeline Puerto Salgar-Carthage, at the height of the district municipality of Villa Carola Dosquebradas (Risaralda).

The prosecutors gave Pereira judicial process for applications submitted jointly by Ecopetrol and affected, following which it was possible to reconcile the repair of persons injured by the accident.

Of the 140 affected in the application procedure of conciliation procedures only two were not part of the agreement evidentiary factors that were not allowed access to compensation.

The agreements with the affected were promoted on a voluntary basis by Ecopetrol, in response to the constitutional principles of solidarity and social responsibility, under the conditions of any special or exceptional risk recognized in case law of the State Council.

The prosecution pointed out that these facts did not admit guilt Ecopetrol and some economic surveys were produced by the character of dangerous activity derived from the transport of hydrocarbons and their derivatives.

Thus, the Attorney General's Office continues the institutional objective of promoting reconciliation as the way management more diligently to resolve disputes, enforce the rights of people and prevent the initiation of judicial proceedings that could take several years .
