torney General's Office exercises preventive supervision in the Ministry of Health of Bogota for complaints in the provision of ambulance service

The Attorney General anticipates a preventive action in the Health Secretariat of Bogotá in order to monitor the provision of ambulance services in the capital according to the parameters relating to counseling, transfer and effective service for patients to ensure the right to emergency care, emergencies and disasters in the district population.

This was due to the repeated complaints made by citizens in terms of response times of the health service and pre-hospital patient transfers by mobile units, which, apparently in some cases it is not appropriate, affecting the physical integrity of citizens.

The Attorney General's Office, Alejandro Ordóñez Maldonado, through the Attorney First District of Bogota, invites the public to denounce all the violations of fundamental rights on the occasion of non-timely provision of ambulance service and prehospital care in the city via e-mail: quejas@procuraduria.gov.co.

The firm appointed by the head of the Public Ministry will monitor the complaints submitted to the respective assessment and take appropriate action, according to their constitutional powers to enforce the rights of citizens and entities exercising control over public related to the provision of this service.
